A concerted combination of cold-cure foam, which is adjusted to the underground of the vehicle and the bodyweight of a person.
The lower area is firmer, so that all edges, gaps, joins and even the safety locks of the bench are covered and not perceptible.
The upper area is softer, so that the foam adapts well to the body and supports it comfortably.
iXTEND ®
All iXTEND folding beds have a specially developed foam center
iXTEND VW T6.1/T6/T5 California Ocean, Coast, Comfortline: approx. 115 x 202 x 6,5 cm
The folding bed is extended over the bed and offers more comfort whilst sleeping - the division of the individual parts is chosen in a way that the the edges of the 2-seater bench are not perceptible, also the safety locks are padded.
The flame resistant foam that is normed to the automotive standards can be removed easily if the VW original fabric cover has to be cleaned.
The fabric can be washed in a programme for wool at 30°C.

The iXTEND folding bed can be stowed folded on the rear board of the VW California Comfortline.
If required, it can be unfolded forward with a flick of the wrist.

The iXTEND Califorina is available in two versions:
"Allround" is suitable for all VW T5 California Comfortline and VW T6 California Ocean/Coast, if you are using the bed extension in the lower position and above the serial cushion as well as VW T5 only with iXTEND PAD in the upper position (material thickness: all parts 6,5 cm).
"High Comfort" is exclusively suitable for VW T6 California Ocean/Coast, if you are using the bed extension in the upper position as well as in the package with iXTEND PAD (material thickness: rear part approx. 6.5 cm and the two parts in the front approx. 9 cm).
If required, it can be unfolded forward with a flick of the wrist.

All iXTEND folding beds can be flipped over and folded to the backrest of the 2 seater bench of the California in a way that a big storage or lying area is create without gaps. Practical also to use as a storage area for luggage on the rear cushion but also as an easily reachable baby bed or a big lying area for a dog.
The iXTEND folding beds for all VW T6.1/T6/T5 California (also Beach) have a standard mounting for easy fixation on the headrests of the backrest.
Two parts of the iXTEND can be folded to the backrest and fixed on the headrests: A very good baby bed or a spacious, downwards and forwards padded lying area for dogs as well as for luggage is created.
